Team Kenshaw supporting Suicide Prevention Lifeline Out of the Shadows Walk
Worldwide Suicide Prevention Day was Tuesday 10 September.
The Team at ARA Electrical / Kenshaw Electrical got together on Sunday 8th to walk in support of the Lifeline Australia “Out of the Shadows” initiative to raise awareness and money towards their suicide prevention hotline. Each year Lifeline receives over 1 million contacts from people in crisis, tragically, every year over 65,000 Australians attempt to take their own life and over 3,000 Australians die by suicide.
We walked 9km in recognition for the 9 lives lost in Australia every day.
So far this year the Out of the Shadows Walk has raised over $2.2 million to help Lifeline continue to provide their 24/7 crisis support and suicide prevention services to help Australians in crisis. We are proud to be a part of, and contribute to, such a worthy cause.
